With all the stress of my life lately I feel like I’m in relapse mode & I’m having using dreams again…
I got 8 years in this & I have so much to lose now so why would I even consider this?! My ******* brain won’t shut the **** up about it! I don’t want it, but my addiction sure as hell does if that makes sense???

How stupid is that voice trying to convince you that drinking or using solves stress?

Whenever I got wobbles I'd go back to basics - how did you get clean and sober in the first place? what's kept you clean and sober 8 years?

Eight years! amazing and far too much sober life to throw away just because your addictive voice is telling you that a drink or 10 will hep you feel better. It wont make you feel better you will wake up the next morning and regret it.
Eight years is wonderful. Can you look at other ways of dealing with the tough times you are facing at the moment, reaching out to talk to someone? Posting here daily?
Hang on to that strong person you obviously are!
