Love that Danger- love Fitzergald and so many other literary figures.
"To any lengths, at any cost" - from AA
My sobriety is THE most important thing in my life and I take this statement literally. Not my fiance and love of my life, not my family, let alone any small thing like a trip, party, job....is more important. Period.
I've also always loved Emily Dickinson's poem that includes:
"Hope is the thing with feathers/that perches in the soul/And sings the song without any words/and never stops, at all"
"To any lengths, at any cost" - from AA

I think it is important to remember that there are a lot of advantages to being sober besides beating addiction. There are a lot of very smart people who do not smoke or drink and they are not sober necessarily because they had a problem with drinking or drugs they do it because of all of the benefits of being sober. Floyd Mayweather, Warren Buffett and Donald Trump come to mind.

I have two, which are somewhat related:
"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity or misunderstanding" - Hanlon's Razor
"Holding onto a grudge is letting someone live rent-free in your head"
