One year smoke free!
Well I did it. I got to the one year mark. It was last Thursday but I have been away from my computer for a few days.
Anyone who is struggling to quit, YOU CAN DO IT!
It was hard. Really hard. Maybe harder than quitting drinking was for me. But with the help of Chantix and a lot of willpower, and some accountability from a couple of friends, I put the darn cigarettes down. Lots of super stressful things have happened in the past year, and there were a few times when I really wanted to light up. But I used a lot of the same tools I learned to surf the booze cravings, and it worked.
YOU CAN DO IT! I feel SO much better overall. I can hardly believe it.
