Class of June 2022 Support Thread Part One
Wisdom worth repeating. Again and again.
Like most of what venus says. 🙂
I came here looking for a way to quit drinking. I thought that was all I wanted and needed. That was just the beginning.
I am no longer giving up alcohol. Negative. Giving up, losing something.
Now I am working towards being a better me and having a better life. Gaining, adding to life. Positive. Recovery
I no longer "have" to have alcohol in my life. FREEDOM

You can do this, Citrus!
Congrats on Day 10, Chevy
End of Day 207 for me - Good night from Seattle.
Thought of the day: The chains of alcohol might appear too strong at first. Luckily for us, the master key is in our hands at all times. Let us free ourselves one chain at a time.

Day 6
I feel like we are all in this together coming back and saying where we're at and how we are getting on.
the honest support everyone has for eachother is amazing.
I know it's only early days for me but without this site I wouldn't have got this far!

There is definitely something about sharing and listening to others who are at the same stage in this that brings comfort.
Then add venus and the other wise long timers that share their knowledge and you have just about everything you need to get sober. You just have to use it.

I absolutely love lemons and lemon juice. I try to eat a lemon everyday and drink the juice in ice cold lemon water in the am. 😋
My Class saved me.

I have changed immeasurably since I first came here 9/10 years ago. And a lot of that change is due to Dee, Anna and Ann (RIP); their wisdom, patience and friendship changed my life. And continues to change it, every single day.
Congrats on day 7 and 10 and all of your milestones guys!!!!!!! ❤️
I love lemons....I had fish and chips 2 nights in a row on the weekend (I know, naughty me), and I squeeze as much lemon juice on my fish as I can get out of the lemon.
PS....Dee: I finally found awesome fish and chips here!!! Woo hoo!!! (Battered, not crumbed though, so not your fav).

I only give credit where credit is due. 🙂
You have done well passing on all those things. Many others came to my rescue also but your involvement in the Class has been without a doubt a blessing to me as that is where I normally post my deepest issues now.
You and I also deserve credit for our progress. It is our Work that got us where we are.
Congrats to all who have made another sober day! Keep on going. Listen to what is being said because it is Truth.
There is life after alcohol.
It is a Much Much Better life.
I did not think such a thing existed before I found SR.

I make a lovely cordial by zesting about 5 or 6 unwaxed lemons. And then squeezing out the juice. I bring the skins, zest and some water to the boil and throw in a handful of mint. Once reduced down a bit and cool I add a little honey and the juice. I seive it before making ice cubes. It's great because you can just pop into water when you fancy it . Very refreshing 😌
making it keeps you busy too ✌
