Hi All,
I'm an alcoholic of about 6 years (started the slippery slope from 2 glasses of wine a night, to eventually 750 ml of vodka a night, while dealing with PPD after birth of my first child, who is now 6). I went to my first AA meeting July 1st and have spent 23 of the last 49 days sober (before I would rarely be sober 2 days a month). Today is Day 5 consecutively and I'm hoping to continue the trend. I'm glad to have found this forum as I have been going to AA meetings but doing lots of listening and very little sharing, since what do I know 7 weeks in with my longest consecutive sobriety in that time at just 11 days?

Welcome. Sounds like you have really been through some tough stuff. SR is a brilliant resource for staying sober. For me reading and posting daily has made a difference....even on the bad days. Actually, especially on the bad days.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Hi and welcome outofleeryfog
I think you'll like it here.
As far as sharing goes, whether it's here in Newcomers forum or in an AA meeting - it's not about who knows the most....
Something you say may really resonate with someone else and let them know they're not alone
