I need help! temp sponser?
i am currently in a acute psych ward for a long term detox from methadone and xanax. I have no access to AA or NA and i am the only addict on the ward so i have no one to talk to. I really could use some support from either email or on the phone. i started on 90 mg's of methadone and now 2.5 months later im on 35. im also on 1 mg of xanax.
is anyone willing to be a temp sponser or even just a friend on the phone.
Males only

Glad your here!
I would suggest another possibility for temporary sponsor would maybe be contacting the NA group close by and ask them if such a situation could be set up. I would think the medical professionals would want to be involved with this certainly.
peace to you

you may want to post this question/thread under substance abuse:
Substance Abuse - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information
Perhaps you can get a friend to exchange PM's with>
Personally, booze was my deal - not nearly enough sober time and zero experience with narcotics.
Maybe that will help!

Is there anyone from a local NA group that comes and visits the hospital? I know AA does hospital and prison visits where I am.
Possibly NA comes and visits people who OD in your area and your facility's administration can get you set up.
Sorry that you feel alone - even if we contact cyberpeople, at least we're talking/typing with someone.

i am in an acute ward where im the only addict. they woudnt put me in the regular detox because my detox isnt typical. i was coming off a high dose of methadone and its not your average 5 day detox. its going to take 5 months. im halfway thru it
