I've been sober about 3 1/2 months, and for the last month, I've had terrible, painful acne. I've never had anything like this. Could it be related to not drinking? Maybe my poor beat up body is excreting toxins through my pores or something??

Itchy, dry skin, rashes, Yep.

It does go away. Warm/hot showers helped me.

When I have quit before, I notice that I would go through a period of acne. Mine cleared up again after a couple of weeks, but I can't tell you what happens after that time.

Hormones maybe? I know alcohol really messes with them. Male and Female.
