Still sober!
Hi guys,
I've been sober since September 5th 2012 and I feel great. I've been super busy with end of the year work deadlines and haven't been able to poke my head in here for a while so I just wanted to drop by to let you guys know I'm still doing well. I hope everyone is doing well. Sobriety has been really amazing. The ability to think clearly and function with more energy, because alcohol is an energy drainer, which I didn't realize until I sobered up lol! Now that my friends see that I've stuck to it, they stopped asking me to go out drinking and I've converted my life to recreational activities and other fun things and honestly I don't miss alcohol. I see it for what it is, a poison that doesn't belong in the body! I'm so much more productive on the weekends instead of being hung over AND my mood has really boosted! Initially I had quite a low mood, that lasted til mid November, then after that my brain chemicals have seemed to balance back out. I feel in a better mood than I have since before I started drinking in college. Hang in there everyone! Sobriety is worth it!

Congrats Renee, awesome job! I am really looking forward to the benefits you mentioned. It is really helpful for me to think that it wasn't just beer I was drinking but poison. Who really wants to put poison in their body?
