Day 6

It's been 6 days now since my last drink. Things are going a little bit better. Going to hit the gym finally. Need to get my weight back to what it was which will not be easy. My sleep is getting better but waking up 20 times in the night. Going to keep doing these days post for about 3 months.

My short term goals are to stay sober each day and make a new post on SR. My long term goals are stay sober, lose weight and better understand my triggers and find new activities with my free time.

Before I get, I'm also putting no alcohol on my driver's license. This way if I do want to get alcohol and try to buy it then I would have to try to get around the no alcohol on the license.

Action,

We are all here for you. I've seen you on these forums for a while, sobriety isn't easy, and cudos to you for sticking with it.
One thing that has always helped me, when a craving kicks in, I pray, if it won't go away, I go for a run. My sponsor tells me cravings go away with 15 mins of activity-run, walk, something.
One thing a friend of mine did was put his 24 hr chip on his license or somewhere when he got out his wallet he would see it. Just an idea.
Best of luck to you!

Do you write this on your license or something the state does?

Good job on day 6!

Also curious about this. If it's something the state does, I would go have that done asap for myself.

The only few times I will have to show ID is for alcohol or movies. I'm not too worry about showing my ID for an R movie really. I'm lucky that I look like a 24 and not 29 even with my binge drinking. :-)

Just hope it's not illegal to write on the ID because would not like to get a second ticket if I get pull over from a cop.
