Good morning friends! Checking in for another 24. Feeling so much better even today. Most of my chores are done so I can take it east today. We have a friends birthday party to attend this afternoon but I’m thinking I should stay home and rest, not risking picking up some other flu strain from the gymnastics center with 100 other kids.
I’m not sure if I’ve ever told you but I’ve been on vivitrol for the last two years. It definitely helps curb any sort of alcohol craving but I’m really not certain I want it during this pregnancy. The nurse told me it’s ok since I’ve been on it and it’s not a new medication. But she also said that since this is a stressful situation that I should remain on it. I’m supposed to get a shot Friday. My boss is out of town this week which is great because it will allow me to take my time with all my catch up work.
Husband’s birthday is on Saturday after Valentine’s Day and asked me to cook some Hungarian specialties like pork schnitzel, red cabbage w apples and cucumber paprika salad. I love to cook but I may need to outsource some of this meal
congratulations to everyone celebrating milestones today!

Good morning! No hangover here and, I’m in for another sober day.
It was cloudy last night so, I couldn’t see the moon. Like VoVo said it was eerily light out. The latest snowstorm went just to the south of me. Thank God.
Let’s all have a safe and sober day.

Cool moon shots! Who knew, apparently I should look up more at night.
Delilah, feel free to pm or ask away. Happy to share any insight I may have gained. It's a unique experience and a different path. It's also very settling for all once they commit and have that uncertainty behind them.
Mice don't bother me. Spiders do. But snakes, absolutely not!
Hope the weekend rounds out well for everyone. 24 here please.

Good morning, decided to type this in Word first since we are at page 25. I love composing in Word and being more creative.
Perfect snacks are frozen grapes and blueberries.
Time 1000. 1 request for 24 hours of sobriety with winds of change.
I’ve been up since 0300 and that’s okay, because I got a decent amount of deep sleep. I think my body is rebalancing itself. The last three nights I’ve slept in my bed versus the couch, and it feels good to get slow-wave sleep. Yesterday though, I napped long and often between eating full meals, playing games, going out for smokes; during audiobooks and music.
Bailey --Have you considered light therapy for SAD during the winter. I think it is well-documented to work, and not a snake oil product, the light boxes I mean. IMO it is more healthy than herbal supplements. I use an anti-depressant.
I saw the super moon early this morning, it was behind cloud cover but shone through and made for an interesting view.
We are getting hit with heavy snow. I lightly shoveled a path to the gazebo. Somebody else put down rock salt. There is a storm advisory until 2100 and may get up to 8 inches; not cold though, it’s 23F.
treesofgreen – I know some people on the med you are taking, but they are males. I am satisfied with naltrexone. It works quickly for alcohol urges, and after awhile I see it also eases gambling, porn, and some OCD issues.
abccowboy – the giant egg in Vegreville is awesome.
I’m not fear ridden, fairly normal, but I do fear being in enclosed spaces, where the walls press my sides. I cannot handle other people’s poo nor dog poo…it will make me wretch and if it gets on me, I think I’m going to get infected with some terrible disease. I love snakes and spiders, just don’t like coming in to contact with poisonous ones, (won’t handle them). At a scout camp the counselors would call me to remove snakes, mice, and wasps. I’m not fond of rats. One other, I like to swim in bodies of water where I can see the bottom. I can wade in dark water, but my feet need to feel the bottom.
Slowing down here. I did review the first three steps of AA, and have a very firm grasp of them: admitting and accepting my alcoholism and addictions, knowing what manageability/unmanageability means and looks like, accepting a belief in a higher power and understand insanity concerning the first drink. Letting go of my will and life to the love and principles of one alky helping another. Doing the rest of the steps.
It was neat I did it outside in the gazebo very early this morning.Later would have been too late. The guys in there then, although I get along, showed their prejudiced and bigoted sides, and playing the victim cards.
I did not accomplish anything yesterday, so back to wanting to clean floors, clean the kitchen, vacuum carpets.
Aye, the morning is getting away from me. I have eaten breakfast and a snack. Have a wonderful day everyone one. --- Gregory

Amazing, willow68 Congratulations for 40 Days.

the moon from here in Vancouver was awesome. it's like stop raining and being cloudy long enough for us to see it even my 2 of my grandkids enjoy it.

wiscsober, are you on Step 4 now? I’ve found that one to be the most challenging so far. I have quite the list of people and it’s causing a fair amount of anxiety. Glad to be getting through it though, and identifying the role I played in those relationships.
We were talking about step 4 recently.....I went overboard and upset myself terribly and my sponsor told me to stop, it was enough. She also told me to make sure I didn't leave myself off that list DB love. s xx ❤️
Another 24 for me please.
Well, not the weekend I had planned but nevertheless a good one.
Went to a late season Panto last night with my Hubby & his Mum & Dad.....it was absolutely hilarious and brilliant!! it was in their local (not very big) Village Hall, how they managed I don't know. Anyway they raised a ton of money for all local charities. All run by locals & amateur theatrical types who do an amazing job....wonderful. Oh and I won a huge box of very nice chocolate biscuits in the raffle, which I am doing my best to not demolish in one sitting tonight
Have enjoyed all the fab pics of the SnowMoon...Haven't seen it..tho with the bad weather etc & thick cloud cover where I am think it's highly unlikely I will.....
Unable to do what I wanted in the garden, oh well it'll wait.
Hope everyone has had a good, restful weekend. My thoughts and prayers to those of you going through tough stuff and Congratulations to our Milestoners.
Much Love, SP

24 hours more please and sorry to be a bit late to the party. Quite scary weather here today, especially when driving. Thank you to everyone who posted moon pictures. They were really impressive and I'm annoyed I didn't know about it untol now so never went out to look. Ok with spiders, definitely not Ok with any kind of rodent and firmly in the medals queue for overthinking. (Only last night I found myself thinking 'for pity's sake give it a rest'!! So maybe I will finally).
