Post RESERVATIONS In Recovery

Please give me your experience.
I think admitting my reservations could have helped me avoid relapsing.

I like using 'scenarios' to flush out areas in my addictive self nature that lurk beneath the surface, and would jump at using/drinking ... justifiably 'of course'

I would set-aside my program and get a quick buzz if:
+ A hot chick (or guy if applicable) hit on me. It would be 'worth it' to not miss that opportunity.
+ I got tickets to that certain concert, and it would be 'worth it' to get a buzz to 'enjoy it better'.
+ My _ _ _ _ died ... (typical lame answer to give in rehab)

I also like the scenario of, Why should I be able to get a Buzz...
+ I'm a hairy-ass man. I should be able to do what I want.
+ I can get a buzz ... If I can handle it responsibly (yeah, right)
+ I,ve stayed Clean & Sober for _ _ _ (time), surely it would be ok to just get a little buzz.

The FACT for me is...
Getting a 'Buzz' in any scenario is just like saying, "it would be OK to fall asleep while I'm driving, just this time"...
... For me, IT IS NEVER OK TO FALL ASLEEP WHILE I'M DRIVING.
