Hello friends!
Hello friends!
Hi everybody!
Its been so long!
The move has been trying to say the least.
The moving truck was MIA for 13 days, although it did finally arrive finally!
The moving company broke several things, my home computer included! The climate controlled 15x 20 storage unit I had rented months in advance, ended up being a 5x10 Non climate controlled...yikes.
So, its been a challenge to say the least!
I am really happy in my new home and am getting used to the scorching heat down here! Im all hurricane proofed (if you can be) and am back to work, although my office looks like a warzone with so many boxes!
I am so thrilled to be gone from the place I was, its easier for my peace of mind. I did have to disconnect my home phone allready, as my ex tracked me down and rang my damn phone off the hook for several days.
All in all, things are good. I will be around more now,
Hope everyone is good
I really am still a little bummed about my 4th of July vaca up North that I missed, but hey, there is always next year...in UK???

The move was definately more stressful than I could have ever imagined! Although, in the true spirit of seeing the good in things, I am 1 block from the beach and I love it!! I go to the beach and walk every evening!
I think Florida next year for SR Renunion is a GREAT IDEA!!!!
Minx, I did actually have an unlisted number that D got a hold of. I find that odd, that he was able to get it, but I wont dwell on it! I just decided not to have a home phone, as "unlisted" clearly does not mean unlisted!
Its not worth the chaos..I am using my cell phone and thats good enough for me!
I will change my cell phone number probably next week, but its being used fro work at the moment and I need to leave it. I have gotten quite good at hanging up on unwanted callers.
I also reminded him that stalking is a felony in all 50 states..
Im glad to be back in the cyber world, I felt so disconnected!

Yes, MIA for 13 days indeed!
They told me that it had never left Denver, and that the truck sat there for 10 days.
They called it, a "minor setback".
You gotta laugh about that.

Good to see you back, and glad the move is finally over. You know your making us all green with jealousy at that house 1 block from the beach
So... um.... do you get a discount on the move cuz the truck "forgot" to leave Denver?
Mike

Unlisted phone numbers can still be acquired. Unlisted just means it does not appear in the phone book but is still available through 411. What you want is UNPUBLISHED. It appears no where, except on your phone bill.
I'm glad your move is finally over!!!!! And I've heard of moving vans being MIA for over a month so your 13 wasn't too bad, roflmao,...........
I'm just glad you are back to posting and getting settled in your new home.
Welcome back.

Hi Ms. Sarah...Glad to you hear you got there safely and are settling in. Don't worry about the boxes. You'll get to them when the weather is lousy. Now's the time to enjoy your new move.
So are they going to send you a partial refund for their screw-up??? This is an issue I would raise proper hell0 about. No excuse for it.
Welcome home. Kathy

Welcome home, we missed you too!

I did argue about the bill, but it became very clear they would not be refunding any of the money already paid via credit card. So, I opted to just let it go. We tried, but it really doesnt make any difference and the grief of suing a moving company simply isnt worth the 2-3 thousand dollars they may OR may not decide to refund.
Loads of fun!!!!
