Family..
I am new here and this is my first post. I figure I'd start it off by saying I am grateful to my family first and foremost. They've seen me at my worst, and still were willing to reach out and pull me back. I know there are a lot of people out there without family or even friends during the holiday season, and I don't think I could deal with that. Suicide rates are at their highest during this time of the year, which goes to show that we need more people willing to reach out and help. This was my problem when I was in recovery the first time. I went there for myself, and was not willing to help anybody until I realized later how good it makes both parties feel. Lending a helping hand makes me feel needed, and makes the other person feel welcomed. So once again.. I am grateful for my family being there to lend that helping hand. Merry Christmas everyone!
