Thumbs up To the SR MODs and ADMINs.. Thanks!

This comment in a recent post struck a nerve with me:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Having once been a Network Admin myself with a large user community where I was actually getting PAID to keep the users happy.. Hats off to you guys! Volunteering your time, all the hours you must put in, all the shtuff (hybrid word) you must have to deal with from time to time to keep this forum running. At times being called upon to keep the peace. Dealing with users who might at times feel as though SR is their god given right instead of the result of kind devoted (to a good cause) folks like you... and whatever else you guys have to deal with, who knows...

Thank you and Happy Holidays!

I wish we could give you guys a gift certificate to your favorite restaurant or something...

And no I'm not sucking up...

Cash will do *LOL*

Thank you for your kind words.

I am just a member like you or others, with the exception, I can delete posts or edit if needed.
Just seeing the joy in peoples' posts as they say..ahhh now I understand or Look at me, I have X days, weeks, months. For me that is payment more then I deserve. I learn as much from all of you, as you all learn from each other as well.

There are a few who are Mods that do put in the extra effort and help keep the things behind the curtain working correctly.
To the degree each is able, they give of themself.
As for me, I am just here for a place to hang out and learn.
So any gift cert. or cash... send to the other mods. I am sure they will like it *LOL*
Again, Thank you for the kind words.

Some members like to keep the moderators busy

In the program of AA, there's that phrase, keeping my side of the street clean, or keeping my sidewalk clean. And while I think it's absolutely imperative to do that, some of us might do well to remember that here at SoberRecovery, we find a town square of sorts, where many sidewalks meet.

I'm small, compared to the crowd in the square.
If I can remember that daily, chances are I'll make more friends than foes here, and be welcomed back for a long time.

So yeah, thank you to those who try and oversee our dysfunction.

Jazz is sucking up.
I'm not.

Here's a link where you can contribute to the running of SR:

This is a nice time of year to remember all of those whose work has given us the privilidge of recovery online. And it sure beats a tie, no?

Shalom!

Many thanks

Newbie here and I would like to say a BIG thank you. Before posting I have read over several months before making my decision what was best for myself and my son. Without this site, the posts, the mods and the wonderful caring people here I would have not made it this far. I hope each one of you know how special you are.

Please allow me to add my thanks to those already posted.

Over the past year, I have truly enjoyed being "a part of" around here. I feel I've made some wonderful connections here with people I'd otherwise never have met. As a direct result of friendships made on SR, I even had ice when the hurricanes saw to it that my power would be out for a while!

Now, if y'all will excuse me, I gotta go check something in the mirror. I think I have a little bit of ass on my lip...

Simply another part of the machine, or pixel in the picture, but thank you. And thank you, all of you for being here. There'd be no "us" without you.
