I AM Thankful
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! This year I am thankful that today, right now, I have NO desire to drink or use drugs. I am thankful to be alive. I am thankful to SR for allowing me a place to post this! I am thankful that I am showing up on time, with the potatoes! There are more things, but those are just a few! Anyone care to join in on this thread? I'd love to hear some of yours!

-I am thankful that I can carve a bird without cutting off my finger due to shaking hands.
-I am thankful that I sat on my bike for a 1 hour workout today rather than sitting on my arse drunk all day.
-I am thankful that God leaned down and said, "WILL YOU PLEASE WAKE THE FVCK UP AND STOP WASTING YOUR LIFE AND THE GIFTS THAT I GAVE YOU???"
-I am thankful for the new friends I've made here that help me stay honest and on The Plan (thanks lz !).
-I am thankful that I sat on my bike for a 1 hour workout today rather than sitting on my arse drunk all day.

For the past 26 years, I've been thankful that none of my four grandchildren have ever seen me as an active alcoholic...I'm thankful that, by the grace of God and the fellowship of AA that has yet to change...everything else is just icing on the cake!!!
I hope everyone is having a sober, safe, and serene Thanksgiving Day (whether or not you're in a country that celebrates it).

I am thankful that my family came over and spent my second sober Thanksgiving with me and my SO.
I am thankful to not have the shakes, a hangover and better yet no desire to drink today.
I am thankful that I was able to here for my daughter last week when she was gravely ill and that she is fine today.
I am thankful that my sister is having a baby in the next two weeks and wants me in the delivery room. I will be a first time aunt and will be a sober one!!!
I am thankful to the program of AA and the people it has brought into my life.
I am thankful for SR and the people it has brought into my life.
I am thankful for my sponsor who puts up with me, loves me, and has taught me so well.
Finally, I am so very thankful to my HP for listening to me when I cried out on 8/8/04 asking him to keep me sober. I am thankful that he did it that day and has each and every day so far.
