5th Day dilemma
Hi Folks 5th day dry since my little slip, done 3 meetings, going to another tonight. Question, I meet this chap ( Oh thats very british!) who gave me his phone number at a meeting last week. I know relise that I need a sponsor and was thinking of asking this guy, he has been sober for 18months, Should I ask him to be my sponsor or is it too early?

Congrats on 5 days, Digger.
There is no right answer about chosing a sponsor. The rule of thumb is ask someone who has worked all of the steps and who has what you want. Does this guy have what you want? If so, then go ahead and ask. If not or you're not sure, then keep going to meetings and look for someone who fits the above criteria. You can always ask whomever you choose to be your temporary sponsor, too. That may take a bit of the pressure off.
