This is my first message on this forum. I am the mother of three. My oldest son who is 31 seems to have gotten himself
mixed up with crack....so now I need some help with the start
of this mess. I know we have to "let him go" and stop "enabling"
him. He is currently staying with his sister and her husband,
but his strange behavior lately led them to do some snooping.
They found baking soda, a pipe, silver paper and razor blades.
We want to confront him about this, although we know he will
say the ovious.....it's not mine! Any suggestions or help will be helpful. We are thinking about a family intervention, but need
some guidence about that. We need to know some things to
say and more importantly, what NOT to say. We really need to
do this soon, as he cannot continue to stay with his sister under
these circumstances. Look forward to hearing from you all!

Hey there BakesCookies and welcome to Sober Recovery. I'm glad you found us because you will find that there are a lot of helpful people out there who can offer you a ton of guidance and support. You are not alone in this struggle, nor do you ever have to be again.
We have a forum strictly devoted to friends and family members, as well as Nar-Anon and Al-Anon. I would definitely start your own thread over there, introducing yourself and relaying your story as well as your questions. Like I said, you're bound to get more notice and help over there with your own thread. If you need any help with doing that, let me know and I can direct you the best of my ability!

Again, welcome!

Danielle
