My ride to work...(off topic)
I was on my way to work this morning, the sun was shining, the windows were wide open, an awesome song came on the radio AND I'm sporting an exceptional new cut and color--you know--one of those mornings where your foot gets a little heavy on the accelerator and you don't really realize it. So I'm singing and driving and top one of the many hills on my winding road to work and there it is, the stopper to my perfect morning, a sherriffs patrol coming at me. I look down (yikes! just over 80) and hit the brakes, knowing full well it is too late. Sure enough I look in my rearview and he's turning around. So I drive 50 the last five miles to town with him following me, and he finally turns on the lights.
I pull over and grab my insurance card, and when he walks up I'm still smiling and digging for my license when he says
"How are ya doing today?"
I just laughed and said "I was having a pretty good morning til those lights came on."
"Do you know why I stopped you?"
"Uh, yeah I MAY have been going just a little over the speed limit."
At which point he bursts out laughing and says "well it MAY have been just a tad more than a little over."
"Yeah, it's just such a nice morning and this awesome song came on and I just wasn't paying attention to how fast I was going...so write me my ticket, I deserve it."
At this point I finally take a good look at him and all I could think was "HELLO OFFICER, handcuff me please!!" He was the finest looking officer I have seen since Mel in Lethal Weapon.
He then says, "This is my first day back from Louisiana, and I'm happy to be home, how about a warning?"
Whew! "That would be way too nice."
(Okay, so BETTER than Mel...
)
I am absolutely positive it was the sassy new cut and color!
In any event I'm really
now, I'm going to have to set the cruise control on the way home!

Well, it just so happens that a dear friend of mine is a bailiff at the county jail and she knows my favorite officer...turns out he used to be a methodist minister and just became a full time deputy recently and is married with children--RATS! She does agree however that he is one FINE man. Oh well, I'll just have to keep him safely tucked away in fantasyland...what I wouldn't give to lose these stinkin' morals for just an hour! :lol

Oh Gabe, you don't know the half of it...
I realized this morning that my daughter has been babysitting for them...I just never put the two together til his name came up on my caller ID...Duh!
