I just wanted to quickly share what I did to get here, one day at a time...

I dropped my false pride and admitted I had a serious problem with drugs and alcohol.
I went to a meeting, alone and scared.
I joined a group on my 3rd night.
I told people I was new.
I started to pray in the morning, night, and in between for help.
I got a sponsor. I called her everyday.
I went to 90 meetings in 90 days.
I went on committments.
I didn't get involved in a relationship or make any major changes.
I asked questions, I listened.
I started speaking from the podium
I got a job in my group being the greeter.
I called people in my group.
I abandoned everything I thought I knew about life.
But mostly, I didn't pick up, one day at a time...

I just wanted to share that in every suggestion I took I was scared ****less walking through each and every one of them. But I was willing to do anything to get sober.. I prayed for courage and for help and I began taking baby steps through each and every one of those suggestions and began to feel better and I started to learn. The more work I put in, the more gifts I have received in return...

The best thing about this is.. I'm not unique. This is for anyone and everyone who wants it and is willing. It's here for the taking. All I had to do was follow some simple directions, one day at a time...

Blue Skies!! Way to go!! I've got 1 1/2 mos. to get to six and I'm doing EXACTLY what you are doing...Finally....This time. Glad to hear it works. Every person I consider a winner says he/she commited to service early. Every one. Guess its time to be open-minded and take some suggestions!

Way to go! I'm at the same point for many of the same reasons. Thanks for posting and keep up the service work! It DOES WORK, I would never have thought that I could understand this simple program....
