Hurricane Katrina Victims in Colorado
Hurricane Katrina Victims in Colorado
Hi all,
I got an email from a friend this am. One of her co-workers has 5 immediate family members who drove out from New Orleans and have very little of their life left and are staying here with family. They have no home to go back to and came out with only a few sets of clothes, thinking they would be able to go back.
I don't know how many people we have at SR that are in the Denver area but if any of you have used clothing items (men women and childrens items needed) that you would like to donate to this family, please pm me as I will be seeing them this weekend.
Thanks and love,
Sarah Elizabeth

My email box if full of these type announcements...and I LOVE them! For all the bad news in the papers and on the TV there are lots of towns and churches taking action and "adopting" displaced families.
Warms my heart!

Elizabeth,
I live in Denver and also work at a large homeless shelter. We've got TONS of clothes, bedding, food, shoes......you name it, we got it or can find someone that has those things.
Please PM me and I can get you the info.
