Hello soberdays and welcome to SR! I'm an alcoholic/addict. I find that I get the most out of the forum when I am honest in my posts and questions and open-minded when it comes to the responses.

As for stopping and staying stopped...stopping was never the hard part. Living sober was. I could stop whenever I wanted...I just kept starting back up again as soon as I had a feeling or issue I didn't want to deal with. I had to learn how to live sober. I have turned to AA/NA meetings, got a sponsor and am doing step work to teach me how to do just that...working so far...today is 78 days clean/sober!!!

I went to AA!!!

I don't know how bad a problem you're having with alcohol!!!

Do you have AA meetings in your area you can attend? Getting sober, you need to hange your life style. Do all your friends and family members drink a lot? Do you have a spouse b/f or g/f to help support you?

Welcome to the site Try reading the recovery stories on here and go to the sites on here about alcoholism and alcoholics anonymous. That will give you a better ideas of what to do to stop drinking
