Need to be more productive
Hi all,
Trying to not to smoke once more.
I have unfortunately fallen into a period in life where I have become bored, and while last smoking, did nothing. Literally, I came to the point, where I just became so lazy that I'm finding it hard to do anything.
What should I do to kickstart the system?
Should I make daily lists and stick with them?
Are there any good books one can recommend regarding productivity and self-discipline? I know these return with time, but I am still a bit apathetic, and yes - ALOT more it is mental and self-destructive, than is the effect of weed.
I know weed can slow you down, but I myself have put myself in this sedated state of nothingness - and I want to get out, but can't seem to.
Thanks all!

hi jinx
I take showers, as many times as it takes in a day.
I feel fresh and clean after showers.
Making a list helps a lot,but just juming into a shower
became a challenge too.lol
HIT the damn snooze botton for hours.lol
I disconnect the TV.
I made myself get out of the house, just take walks
to get the blood flow'in.
Or I made myself go to a meeting everyday or walk to a meeting.
Not so much to get anything from a meeting.
But just to break my cycle/habits/addiction of being lazy.
It's a process and it didn't happened over night.
Anything to break my routine/addiction of laziness.
As I overcame each obsticle, I incorporate other task
into my activitivies. Little changes.
Just being able to make it the the door and touching the
door knob was a victory. Then I actually opened the door
a day or so later. Then I actually stepped outside for a second.
Or you can go shell shock and call a friend to come and
get you and drop you off at a mall 5-10 miles from home.
This way you'll have to walk home.
Mmmmm...that phone seems pretty damn heaVY dosen't it?.lol
It took a month to scrub my bath tub and another
week to wash my car. The list of things to do, I made.lol
But it was victory for me.
I was in the military. The damn alarm going off at 5 am
and a drill instructor riding my arss every second help
desciplined me..but we're talking about self motivation here.
Drugs and alcohol took a lot from me. Self descipline was
one of them.

Hey
Yeah, I should just do a little at a time. Even if a little means very little. A leader of my recovery group said I shouldn't be so hard on myself to try and do all of these things. I am just so hyper, and I've been ignoring so much **** for so long, that I want to get it all done, as fast as I can.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
