Enjoying Without Guilt
my AH will be leaving to serve his 3 day jail sentence for DUI tomorrow morning. his friend is driving him and I am staying out of it.
tomorrow afternoon I will be taking the afternoon off and using my gift certificate that i received from my group for admins. day in april, will be getting myself a body massage!!!
now there was a time when i would feel guilty about this, but you know what - today i don't! i deserve this and am going to enjoy my "me" weekend.
thanks to all my great support here and my cheering section!

Nah - I reckon you should feel guilty!!
Last I heard body massages from vouchers were responsible for global warming and locust swarms!!!
On the other hand - you can't believe everything you hear and if massage isn't responsible for world disasters it would have to be one of the most blatantly harmless things in the world to do!

equus - at this point - i would have to say the heck with the global warming and locust swarms - there's no stopping me tomorrow! lol

You so deserve this, and you didnt cause your A's consequence's nor can you cure it or change it. Make the best out of the three days that you have.

Chris....that sounds absolutely perfect....all of it ...lol. Three days for you how great is that!!!!!! Too bad for you H but he has only himself to thank for his problems....have fun all weekend long.

hey all
update - i went and had my massage - after enjoying a lunch with some coworkers. it was great! i was afraid it was going to storm here (among other issues i have a lightning phobia!!!) but it didn't and i was able to enjoy my hour of massage with hot stones (try it sometime - it's great!)
i was kicking myself as i had fleeting thoughts of my hubby and how he was handling his incarceration but i kept telling myself that it's his gig and i...ok everybody...say it together... I DIDN'T CAUSE IT, I CAN'T CURE IT, I CAN'T CONTROL IT!!!!! (whew)
just talked to hubby and all is as well as can be expected when you are locked up! lol he's to be released sun. morning so i get tonight and all day tomorrow to enjoy!!!

It took some strong willed thinking to go ahead with your own life and not worry about your husband. I am going thru something like that. I just keep saying to myself two things.
1.) What would my dear departed parents think of this life? They would want me to get as far away from this person as possible.
2.) Would I want this life for my kids and grand kids? No way!!!!
There is NO way I would put anyone I cared for in my place or life. I just keep telling myself that. Over and over!!!
