It Does Work ! ! ! !

Yep, it does......today I celebrate 50-50. I have been sober (24 years) which is the same amount of years I drank (24 years). rofl

I would love to say it was easy, NOT lmao. But it has certainly been quite a journey to now!!!! And I am sure there is more to come, lol.

One Day At A Time has held me in very good stead.

You are so fortunate!! I feel like I have well, thanx to AA, SR an my HP to live at least another 20 yrs!! BUT...no way can I live long enough to do the 50/50

that's a great inspiration and has got me wondering how long til I get to 50/50 - a joke really as I'm only 2 months sober but I don't even know how long I've been drinking.

I jsut told my daughter about your 50/50....when she asked me when mine would be?? i said..well i'm 38!! she said ya but you didn't drink for ALL those years...lol so i guess i have 13 years to go...one down tomorrow

Thank you all VERY MUCH for your kind words and warm wishes.

If it hadn't been for the "oldtimers" that told me to stop analyizing so much and who called me "yeah but", rofl I wouldn't be here now. They sure helped me to take off the 'rose colored' glasses and start looking at reality and the "real" me, lol.

Many are up at the Big Meeting now, and this is one way I can continue to thank them for all they did for me. "Just don't drink today." And those "todays" mount up.

Remember, if you are having a "bad" day you can start it over at anytime!!
