I though i would write down why i NEED to stay sober. If anyone would like to add then that would be good.


I NEED to stay sober becuase:

1 = For my daughter
2= For my boyfriend
3 = for my health
4 = for my reputation
5 = for my skin
6 = for my sanity
7 = for my mental health
9 = for myself
10 = for sobers sake
11 = for my friends
12 = for my family


Anyone like to add?

I would say... shift #9 to the number one spot.. the rest looks good!

Hi Bons!

Perfect list - but I would have to second Anne and move no 9 to number 1!!!

However, when I first stopped I didn't actually feel I was worth it...that came with time.

I would add :

- To learn to know and experience peace
- To have a happy and fulfilling life
- To get back ALL of my self respect and more

It is hard to put number 9 first, esspecially since i dont really like myself at the moment, but in time i hope to learn. Yeh i forgot about self respect! that has to go in. Also my confidence, i will add that to.

They will tell you at meetings that they "will love you until you learn to love yourself." I found that comforting.
