T2S and I finally got together.

Well, finally, we met up. My husband and I went over, picked up Mike (T2S) and we all went to a meeting.

After he got in the car, I said "OK, now how do you know that we are not some psycopathic serial killers who find our victims on the internet?" He laughed and said that is what his friend he is working with really thinks we are. lol

We went to a meeting in Princeton, one that we (me and hubby) had never been to before, and we got lost as He**. It was kind of fun trying to figure out where the heck we were. We finally found it, only 15 min. late, and it was OK, just a different format than I am used to.

We had a good time. We are planning on going again a few more times. Mike also got a meeting list and met some people from the town he is staying in and made some contacts to get rides to more. That's pretty cool.

I gave him a big hug for you all, and he sends one right back.

Gooch, Ain't nothin' can out-hick me, and after meeting Mike tonite, ain't nothin' can out-hick him either.

However, I am getting the flyer sent to me about Syracuse, NY? I think that's it.

What are the odds that 2 people who live 2500 miles apart meet up, and they both have dogs named "Bodacious". lol

My husband said we are about 6-7 hours from Syracuse, and it's too far for a weekend trip, but as it gets closer, I can just throw a little temper tantrum for him to take me.lol (I'm still a dope fiend)

Glad to hear that everything went well...Sorry I couldn't hook up with you guys

My 16 yr old went on her first date last night and I had to be here to "interview" the kid that came to pick her up. He was driving and I made him show me his DL, insurance and registration

Also, had to give him the "daddy's little girl" speech!!!

My wife even went outside and wrote down his plate number while he and I were in the house talking!!

He actually was a pretty nice kid...High School Sr. going to MIT in the fall...

Still...He smiled a little too much

I will be coming up to the Finger Lakes in July...hope to meet you guys then!

Lordy, Shakur! Too funny. I am the baby in my family and my dad and two brothers still do this kind of stuff (when they can)... and I am in my thirties. -lol

:slaphead

It warms my heart to see the how the SR family reaches out to one another. People in recovery are the most warm, caring, supportive, friendly people I have ever had the honor to meet.

Say hi to Michael, namommy, next time you talk.

hugs,

phinny

Hey Shakur,

I can TOTALLY understand that one. I still bust on my oldest daughters fiance sometimes, and my 15 year old won't even admit to having a boyfriend anymore.

It's scary to raise kids these days, we have to keep on top of things.

And, Let's here it for dogs named "Bo" and their redneck owners. :hoo

Shakur T.......as the father of two daughters (post teens now thank God!) I'm here to tell you that smiles are O.K. It's when the "Eddie Haskell" act comes on thick that I used to get the feelings of, "If I kill him, surely it would be justifiable homicide, now wouldn't it?!?!?!?" LOL.....

Peace,

Shakur T....know where your coming from.....I think all of us junkies wore that persona, how else could we have gotten away with the lies, scams and rip-offs we pulled to stay fixed when we were dope sick, huh??? Funny thing about the guy who played E. Haskell, he became a motorcycle cop in L.A. Probably knew that though, huh???

Peace,
