Knowing What I Don't Want
It seems I have spent a good part of this relationship wanting what wasn't available.
I now know WHAT I DON'T WANT
1.I don't want the knot in my stomach.
2.I dont want to be humiliated in front of my friends and family.
3.I don't want to lay in bed next to him and cry because I feel so lonely.
4.I don't want to be lied to and manipulated.
5.I dont want to be cheated on.
6.I don't want to lay awake all night because I don't know where he is.
7.I don't want to be treated with disrespect.
8.I don't want my days and night consumed with resentment and anger.
9.I don't want to live this way anymore.
When I look at ALL I don't want, it makes it a whole lot easier to get on with my life and do what I WANT.

It took me going over that list as well before I could really see what was lacking! I need a much more fulfilling life than I had and I WANT TO BE HAPPY!
I one day made a list as well of the things that I missed about my AH during one of my self-doubting moments. Then made a list of the things that I didn't miss. Guess which list was longest! You guessed it - the list of the things that I didn't miss!
Sometimes we need to remind ourselves of these things to stay focused on where we wish to go and what we wish to accomplish!
