*waves* Hey everybody

I just joined this forum. It seems like a very friendly and safe community. I've been thinking about joining a forum like this for a while now but I guess I wasnt ready until today.

I've just begun my journey to recovery. I've made a lot of changes in my life this past year and addressing my alcoholism was kind of last on my list as I knew it would be really hard.

I hope that having some support will help me make it through the rough patches.

Thanks

Hi Lock,
Welcome to SR. I hope you give AA a try as well. This is a great place - an online meeting - but face to face meetings are great as well. I wish you well on your road to recovery, you'll face some bumps and some crossroads, but the journey is unbelievable as we trudge the road to happy destiny.
Love,
Jen

Welcome aboard. These folks help me continue to UN Lock the chains of my own alcoholism. F2F support & involvement in AA has really helped me as well. Hope to read many more posts from you in the future.

Welcome Lock,

As the others have already said, this is a great place to come for support. I use this site in addition to AA. They have both helped me in my recovery. Looking forward to getting to know you.

Yes, welcome, Lock - this really is such a caring and responsive community. I've been encouraged, supported, and gently reminded of truths here - it's been crucial on some days to my survival. I wish you all the same good stuff.

Happy new year, and good luck on your journey!
