Ha! January 3rd is my sobriety birthday, although that was years ago. Sometimes I wonder if I should actually call that the beginning of my recovery. I was miserable for the next 5 days, and shaky for 5 more after that, and then something happened. I actually view somewhere around day 10 as the beginning. But January 3rd wasn't any different than any of the other hundreds of days I had sworn off alcohol. It was just me getting out of bed with a hangover and wondering what to do about my drinking, no different from any other day, and no actual plan for how to do what I needed to do.
Great to have you here. I hope we can help.

Hi MNfast.
So, you've already stuck with your decision for 14 whole days. Two weeks!
I would feel very proud of myself if I were you. Give yourself a good pat on the back.
Well done and stick around. SR is the BEST place to be.
Good luck and let us know how you're doing.
