My recovery is rooted in AA, so that is the experience I have to share. The last time I relapsed, my sponsor told me to go back through the Steps like it was my first time because my relapse had revealed that I had missed something in my prior journey through the Steps. Going to AA meetings, getting a sponsor, and working the Steps is something you can do from here. I have known a number of meth addicts who chose AA over NA because they found more long-term sobriety in AA and the only requirement for membership in AA is a desire to stop drinking, which was a desire they were willing to embrace in order to stay clean and sober like the people they saw in AA.

Welcome to SR Vita
You can stay on your thread here and become a part of this community of your peers like me. I too did meth/speed pills for a very long time. I quit because my life was out of control. Where to go from here? Do not pick up that first drug. Post offen, read the stickys at the top of each forum. Stay close, this (SoberRecovery) is your new recovery program to work daily. Glad you are here.

Hi vita, How are you doing?
Can I ask, what made you relapse after 10 years? …What were the circumstances/feelings/situations that led up to it?
I’m just curious and it might help you the next time xxx
