Just wanted to post something and I think I might every year or so. I am 2 years out from my ex and not a day goes by that I am not grateful to have left. I am single (but keen to mingle), finished all my exams and training and I would not be here if I was still with my ex.

I know it goes against the spirit of AlAnon to just say leave but honestly, I can't say that staying will ever likely lead to a happy ending. There are some who make it but think long and hard about how you want your life to be.

Out since 2016. Went to alanon for years. Wish I had heard get out now.
