Day 19 … Back ‘home’…
So for over two years, due to Covid , I haven’t been able to do the work I usually do, namely evaluating health projects in West Africa. But now I’m back in a small coastal country for 10 days and I feel a huge sigh of relief like I’m home ( I’m white and born in rural England by the way, but have lived /worked in Africa for 30 years and feel it’s where I fit in !). I have no urge to drink and to top it all my smart watch congratulated me on my 8 hrs sleep each night which I NEVER get in the UK. I love my work here… it’s fun and interesting and life, for all its hardships, is so ‘real’…I feel 100x more relaxed here and that is a v nice feeling ! :-)

I’m based in UK ( used to be based in Africa) but pre-Covid travelled 4-5 times a year to West Africa evaluating health projects. .. Am hoping it will pick up again as I LOVE it ! :-) ( and I’m good at it - ha ha!)
