family tradition

Last night I had my heart ripped out again. My son (11) who rarely shows any emotion, broke down last night and cried to me for about 1/2 hour about how afraid he is of his dad getting mad at him, about how he knows his dad drinks and what that does to people.

He already has so much anger inside and gets headaches a lot.

Oh I feel so sad that I let this happen to him. I asked him if he wanted to go talk to someone about things with me and he said maybe, although I think he really wants to.

I'm wondering if I should take all my kids? I am going to make an appointment for us next week but I don't know if we should go to the same one or what?

Hey queen,
Try not to feel bad. You didn't mean for your son to get this angry and hurt. Check in with the counselor you take him to on what's the best way to go with your other kids. This is a good step towards healing for all of you. Look at it as a positive.
Hugs,
Gabe
