.. in every aspect of life. Was feeling very down about the still terrible pain in my broken shoulder but friends came round, made tea, food, did shopping and took my bins out … two others phoned in on Skype from abroad. Connection is so important to our well being and that’s why alcohol loves us to isolate ourselves … I’ve seen through that one so never again !

Very true. I just want to isolate from everyone when I drink.

It's great that you have such good, caring friends. If you're like me, you don't want to reach out to friends to ask for help. I don't want to bother people. But when you're in a fix, friends genuinely want to help! I'm glad you're being looked after.

When do you go back to the doctor, Ican? I imagine you will have to keep your shoulder/arm immobilized for awhile. I hope you're managing alright. It's so nice that your friends are visiting and checking in with you.

I go back on Wednesday Anna but I’m going to see if they can tweak the pain medication before then as it really isn’t working!
