Hi happy, many of us were drinkers for two or more decades, and as Dee says, we know how unnatural it feels to stop drinking. But it can be done, and it’ll be the best thing you do. Well done for seeing the light. Welcome!
Welcome Happy! We're glad to have you here.
This site is very supportive and if you read and post frequently, your chances of success will go up.
In that vein, I suggest you join the class of March. It's not really a class, just a group of folks quitting the same month, who offer support to each other. It's what worked for me when I first came here. If you're interested, here's the link:

Welcome Happy you've made a great decision coming here. I come and read and post everyday. Its been my safe place to come and speak with people who understand. Definitely join the March group like Advbike has mentioned and keep on checking in when you feel you need to. Its saved me on more than a few occasions starting off. Good luck on your journey.
