Day 7
Day 7
I woke up this morning so beat up, body aches, headache..........same as I always did. But wait a minute???!!! I didn't drink last night.
Then I remembered, I actually dusted off the treadmill yesterday and began my excercise regimen.
This is gooood pain.

You are a 7 Day Wonder :-)
Yes it is good Pain - I went to the gym last Wednesday and the same thing too.....
Every day - one day at a time - a little more sobriety - a little more life - things to be grateful for!!!

I remember my early sobriety. I'm a couch potato by nature, but my job kept me fairly active. I went to a meeting every night. I was driving for a courier company on a country route every day. Lots of time to think. At a meeting one night I introduced myself, everyone said, "Hi, Harold," I said "I've been sober 28 days." They all APPLAUDED! Wow! Did that feel good!
Give yourself a nice round of applause!
Remember, I'm pulling for you. We're all in this together.

Bruised ego,
Just taking a moment from cleaning out closets to congratulate you on day 7! Way to go! I'm proud of you!
I want to thank you for your words of encouragement to me. Knowing that I'm not taking these first steps of recovery alone helps a whole lot.
Anyway, this was just a quick sweet decaf coffee break - back to those closets.. I am actually getting somewhere! (I've come across a couple of empty liquor bottles... not sure when or why I threw them in the closet, but they went straight out to the dumpster. I threw them in there with a "goodbye insanity!!", and a thank you to God that they were empty, and therefore not a temptation to me.)
Congrats again - keep on doing what you're doing!
Hugs,
Lindsey

Lindsey, I can relate to those empty liquor bottles in the closets. And thank God that they are empty. My last relapse was do to a pint of vodka that was not empty, and wasn't I suprised to find it! I thought it would do no harm.......
GOOD FOR YOU B.E.!!!!
I totally can relate!! I've been exercising lately and fing that it totally helps my recovery and it feels good!! It's like a natural high!! (One that i am actually proud to be addicted to )
Stay Strong!! You're on the right track!!
