Would you consider inpatient rehab or an anti-craving pill such as naltrexone or Campral?

Part of withdrawals is trying to manage to sit through the discomfort and restlessness. Can you think of anything you can do to help distract yourself? For me, music helped a lot, going for a long walk, a good book or movie, calling a friend, whatever might help you. The thing is you can get through it, and you will never have to do it again.

There is just know way around it except for through it. Now you could get medical support through it with rehab or you can do it on your own but you have to do it somehow. It sucks but it is SOOOO worth it on the other side.

I actually had to look that stuff up. If I was doing that stuff I would detox in rehab for sure to ease the suffering and end the cycle

SR has lots of support, care and understanding when it
comes to addiction and recovery. There are all stages
that folks are in right now. Those beginning, those on
their way and those who are continuing and enjoy life
in recovery.

We all have had to begin with the very first day without
dependence on a poisonous chemical running rapid thru
our bodies, and with your willingness to do what it takes
to achieve sobriety, keeping an openmind to all that is
available to help you learn how, then you are on your
way.

There are many of us who are achieving health, happiness
and many more of lifes rewarding gifts available to us just
by living a sober, honest way of life each day.

If you show up each day like so many of us are doing and
removing alcohol from you life completely, make healthy
changes in your life, then you will have a strong solid
recovery foundation to live upon for yrs to come.

To know that none of us has had to go thru this process
alone or by ourselves is absolutely wonderful.

SR is one recovery lifeline to hold tight to as you find
many more available to help you on your own journey
in life and recovery.

Welcome to SR.
Make a list of the 5 things you want to do most.
Cross drinking off the top.
Do the other 4.

Best of Luck on Your Journey!

not lost anymore.

Glad to have you part of a wonderful community of

Hi and welcome Chickydoo

I don't know much about ice but I know support helps everyone in the bad times.

I hope you'll start to post regularly here - and in our substance abuse forum as well - you might find some more ideas and suggestions there as well
