Hi there. It's been awhile since I've used chat rooms for personal recovery. Thank God you're here. Face to face meetings are an important part of my recovery in that they remind me who I am, what I am, and whose I am. Self isolation isn't so bad as long as the willingness to be among the people is there for me. It's when I isolate because I don't want to be around the people due to alcoholic thinking that the problems begin, or continue, whichever. The gift of a change of perception, thank God and the 12 steps of A.A. that's given me that.
