Sick day
So today was the first time I’ve called into work for an an absence and it hasn’t been alcohol related!
even though I’ve been suffering from what I can only describe as a migrane and it’s been unbearable it actually feels good to know that I’m genuinely unwell and it’s not something that I’ve self inflected.
I didn’t have knots in my stomach ringing my boss and I don’t know if it’s just my imagination but I think he seemed a lot more understanding today (even though he obviously didn’t know being off in the past was do to with alcohol)
Cosied up with my hot water bottle. Head is banging but I’m pleased it’s because I’m no longer poisoning myself! Little things people take for granted. So happy being sober.

This IS a great feeling...I remember doing this exact thing for the first time and feeling the exact way.
It also made me look back and think how obvious it was that I was struggling with "something" when I called in before because I called in a lot.
You are blessed...and I hope you feel better soon.
