Are you saying you do not like being sober?

At 80 days clean i thought i was going insane.

I found SR. SR taught me that it takes years to normalize. Dopamine production is the big issue.

The booze altered that. I needed booze to feel normal. It is brain damage.

My brain will never totally repair. It is permanent. I had to get used to feeling out of place and that is when things got better.

Physically I healed for sure. This allowed me to exercise and lead a more active lifestyle, be present for my teenager, help my wife and family etc.

All of those things caused dopamine production and gave me the miracle folks talk about.

I was heavily into grappling when I quit drinking. Grappling gave me tons of adrenaline. This bonus helped me get clean.

Now I stopped grappling, but I work out and get my buzz. Also I get my natural buzz from doing nice things...e.g. trying to help you.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

Life can be crap whether you are drunk or sober. If you are drunk and manage to give up and become sober then the crap doesn't just go away. But, if you are sober then it is so much easier to face your problems and to try to sort them out.

I don't know you and I can't claim to love you, but in the May group you made me smile a few times when I was feeling a bit down. You even made me Google the Raptors!!

I hope you reach out and get help today, right now.

I googled the raptors too even read about the victory parade and thought of you

As others have said, life is just life and can be rubbish at times. But it's so much easier to navigate sober.

Stick with it, it will get better.
