Day 38 and emotioms.
Day 38 and emotioms.
I am noticing the unnoticed damage i made while drinking which was numbing /wrapping my problems.
examples,
1.Cold and flu hit me infection in ears and i lost my hearing.
2.Brain was always in flight, fight or freeze mode.
3.ALLERY OF DRINKS was greatly affecting my ears, nose and throat because i used to smoke while drinking.
4.I can notice of allergic things now.
5.Bad impacts of my repititive thoughts on other people .
I regret i damaged my ears which was because of this and never noticed !!!
If you wish please share here what you have noticed when you are sober !!

Great that you are discovering what was lurking beneath all the drinking. I’m so sorry about the damage to your ears, though.
I’m at close to a year and a half. I notice I don’t want to vomit when I take a shower in the morning, that my stomach quit doing the weird flip like things it would do prior to getting the first drink in me each evening, and most of all that I am proud of the person I am. — or at least know I come by my faults honestly and not as a result of boozing it up.
Here’s to 38 more days for you — and more!

Quitting drinking is very stressful on the mind and on the body, so it doesn't surprise me that you may have picked up the bad cold/flu and ear infection in a period when you have recently stopped. Being under duress, you are also likely to have a lot of strong emotions now, but that may pass with some more time. The message here is to take care of yourself the best that you can.
Started drinking at 13, quit at 22. All emotional growth ceased at 13. When sober began to feel all kinds of emotions and didn't always know what they were. In fact, for quite a time I wouldn't have known an honest emotion if I fell over it. I got them all mixed up. Love was really lust, generosity was really selfishness, caring was often manipulation, building self esteem - grandiosity, ambition - egoism, and so on.
I stopped doing the wrong thing and set out to do right, but that turned out to be wrong as well! It took something of a miracle and quite a bit of work to restore my emotional functioning to something approaching normal.
