Staying Sober Today

Woke up at 6:20 am, watched the news until 6:40, took a shower and got ready for the day, left the house at 7:05...got to the office at 7:30....and here I'll stay until 5.
I'll get home by 5:30 pm, workout until 6:30, eat dinner at 7:00, catch up on some shows until 10:00...go to bed. Do it all over again tomorrow.
I'm a man of routine!

Good morning WindPines,
I did my morning meditation before showering and now I'm checking threads at SR before I head for work. It's a beautiful day today and my heart is content, I am grateful for that.
What is your plan?

I always love this question. It helps me focus on days that, well, either lag or sometimes downright suck. It keeps me light and energetic on days I am just those things!
Today....well, it's not exactly sucky but it is sorely lagging in my pretty normal good energy. I've been having headaches (one behind the eyeballs last Thu that flattened me) and don't know if it's maybe a cold, allergies, or who knows. I've also gone back to 3x a week yoga and while I happily had a strong class on Sun...now I'm dealing with the back pain I've had to some degree for a yr, from an injury and hernia.
I took benadryl and my sleep meds (sigh, because they sometimes work but always mean sweats) and got up at 11am. I've kept the TV off while I do my morning (or lunchtime!) program stuff.
And my prayer for today? Gentleness with myself.
That's my plan for emotional sobriety - and it feels good to share here

Hi, WindPines! To stay sober today I am posting and reading on this forum. I'm taking my vitamins and anti-anxiety medication. I'm also making sure to eat healthy and drink my 2 liters of water. So far, so good!
