20 days sober!
Well I can’t believe I’m saying this but I have been one sober sally for 20 days! I’m incredibly shocked and proud that I made it this far! I never committed myself to not drink because it just seemed way too hard. It by no means has been easy but I feel alert to life. I don’t just want to stay home all weekend, unshowered, and stay consistently drink. I kid you not I would wake up at 6 am in pain, and would have purposely saved a beverage for immediate hair of the dog relief. I thank God I’m not that person anymore.
Side note: I am incredibly moody some days and other days I’m fine. I feel bipolar!

Congrats on the 20 days, great start! Don't worry too much about being moody, it seems extreme at the time but fades as you continue and as you learn how to deal with every day stresses in a healthy way.

Twenty days is great, and it's nice to feel wonderful instead of worrying about having a drink. Enjoy the changes as they come, and keep your wits about you. The next 20 days will be even easier for you, just make it your goal not to drink each day.

Terrific!! Moods and agitation settle for us, in my experience- consistent sobriety is the key. We can also learn to handle the down so much better - cause it is inevitable for everyone.

Today has been hard
Today is the first day in my sobriety that I am really itching for a beer! The weather is beautiful so everybody is out having happy hour under big red umbrellas. I desperately want to join today. Instead I’ve been keeping myself extra busy. Hi Chloe I’m really trying to be strong and make tomorrow day 23. Thank you for asking ☺️

remember to 'play the tape through'.
Other people can drink go back to work or home, and forget it.
Days like that never ended well for me.
besides keeping busy and posting here what else are you doing to stay sober?
