Asking for prayers that I stay strong and can have a clean break with my alcoholic boyfriend

I have been with my alcoholic for 7.5 years. He has been to rehab twice and never stays sober. I got engaged to him and almost one year ago found out he had been cheating on me so I ended my engagement. I tried to break up with him fully over the summer but I was not able to and kept going back.

Last night I found out he is cheating on me with yet another woman. I confronted him today on the phone and he hung up on me. I need prayers that I can make a clean break with him so I am not tempted to ever go back and can move on. He will never stop cheating on me and I need prayers that I can stay strong in knowing that is fact no matter what he may say to manipulate me in staying with him.

All the best to you, Audrey. I agree with the suggestion of no contact. You’ve made your decision, so as far as I am concerned there should be no room for second thoughts with this man.

Prayers for certain- I know how hard it can be to leave an awful situation with an alcoholic. You can do it - we're here for support.

prayers sent out to you btw we have an awesome friends and family sub section to also meet people who have been through similar experiences and also get some really useful hints tips etc while your going through this - my own partner was going al anon before i even attempted aa - anyway good luck nice to meet you wishing you a better life today and everyday
