I am grateful for every day
I am grateful for my first day of sobriety. I am grateful for my second day of sobriety. I am grateful for my third day of sobriety - - -
Those days began 7,671 days ago, on October 24, 1997, after I completed a full 24 hours of not drinking. October 25, tomorrow, some time toward the end of the day, it will mark 7,672 days of sobriety, which adds up to 21 years and one day of continuous sobriety that I am grateful for.
On with more things I am grateful for:
I am grateful for being healthy again.
I am grateful for having reliable friends again.
I am grateful for being able to drive my car whenever I want again.
I am grateful for being able to encourage others to head toward sobriety using my experiences where it applies without being a hypocrite.
I am grateful that I found this site.
I am grateful for having a life again.
I am grateful for knowing that perhaps someone may have been inspired enough to successfully get sober through something I said to them some time in the last 21 years - - -
