One day at a time
Hi everyone!
This is my second time coming to this website. The first was about a year and a half ago. I thought that I'd be able to quit drinking on my own but it did not happen. I want to save my health and not destroy my family. I'm attending AA meetings online and hopefully in person soon.
I found the thread "books on recovery," and I'm excited to start reading again.

I'm well! How are you? I'm in a good frame of mind today. I've gotten a lot accomplished so far. I've been participating in online AA meetings as much as possible and this is very helpful and encouraging.
I do think about drinking quite often though. I wish it wasn't on my mind so heavily. I assume this will fade with time?

Reading's great - but I see that as more a prelude to action rather than action itself...what are you going to do apart from reading?
