Random: I have 460 days & I feel mighty fine

I haven't been here in a minute.
Reading the posts of early sobriety keeps it green for me. I need to catch up with you fine folks more oft.
What a blessing it was to come here so early on. To "see" people living sober. To be helped so much.
I cant thank you all enough.
If you are new...hang in there. Be gentle with yourself and hydrate...you are doinv profiundly great things by walking away from a drink. Life gets so much better. And its still tough, but a drink does nothing positive. We can get through circumstances, all of them with out a drink.
xx,
Jules

Love this! Congrats on your year plus! I stay hydrated these days. Besides coming to SR, can you share some other things that helped keep you sober? I'm at 6 months, just looking for some inspiration tonight.

I got and have stay sober by making regular attendance at AA meetings, working the steps. It helps to have found my people. The way we relate and care for eachother is incredible. Its like being here, but in person. Isolation no longer happens like it did.
I got healthy in all aspects...spiritually, mentally, physically. Trickle effect really.
I accepted that I am powerless over alcohol and I try to look at today only and I try to make it a good day each day. Perspective is key.
I have never felt stronger nor healthier maybe happier in my life.
Getting sober was the best move I have ever made hands down. Divorce is a close second...lol.

So glad you gave us an update! I remember your beginning with us.

Funnily enough, I stay over hydrated. That is actually a medical thing and my sodium is too low as a result. My doctor said two liters a day is enough....um, after a couple cups of coffee and 30-40 oz of water before work (8am roughly), all I drink is water or sparkling water with lime. It's a problem.

Every threshold of the 100s is something I love. Keep going!
