First Sober Camping Trip

Odd that it took so long... I mean I don't count sleeping in my cowboy apartment in my horse trailer camping.

I never got drunk camping because, bears lol and we generally camp in rattlesnake areas, so we do need our wits. However, whether it was me and the kids or dh was along, i always grabbed a couple glasses of wine at the campfire. Which is awful because then we would do 30km bike rides the next morning and man that sugar in the muscles is awful.

So me and my girls, two of the dogs, (have someone to do chores) and we are off gor 2 nights. We are having significant arguments about electronics with my young ladies, so 3 days without should be a nice reset.

Part of my big plan was a solo trip in July, but this year did not cooperate.

My only fear, isn't getting through the trip without being tempted to drink, it is that I saw a garter snake in the garage and my gear is in the garage, we got the snake out, but what if there is more? Hopefully I find my bear spray first lol.

Sounds lovely, bears precluded.

How off the grid do you go?

Nothing like sober mornings, especially in nature. Enjoy!

With the chilluns not too far off grid. By myself, I go Crown land, dig a latrine.
Provincial Park, no radios, outhouses is the best I can do with kids and tent only. I don't know if you know Ontario well, we are an hour north of Toronto and we go another 3 hours North.

I bet it's gorgeous this time of year. I know Canada shamefully not well at all. Perfect time to be sober with the kids.
