Our whole family has been affected by this disease of alcoholism. Some day you may be here, at SR, exploring past threads of this forum. Some day you might be reading words I wrote and seeing my story in a new way. God has a great sense of humor!

I did the best I could in raising you, now in raising your little brother and in helping your dad get help for his addiction to alcohol. My story is ongoing. If you ever have questions, ask. I've been on some same parts of this journey with you, and I'm thankful for that.

Ten adventures I'm thinking of today:

1. Yellowstone National Park

2. Rodeo, hot sun, delicious cheeseburgers & cold sodas.

3. Playing in hayfields, running up hills, making paths through pine trees and over fallen trees.

4. Rehab family week.

5. Tacos, ice cream & waterslides on summer vacation.

6. Tent camping in South Dakota, near the lake and being welcomed by the friendly camp cat.

7. Tent camping in Michigan, waking up to water flooding our tent in the middle of the night. Somehow, even that was a great adventure together!

8. Swimming, laughing, enjoying sunshine.

9. Fireworks.

10. Skiing.
