One week.
One week.
So last sunday night, I was S@#t faced in my room doing a whole lot of nothing, dreading the morning. This Sunday I'm coming home from my 5th meeting this week, beaming from cheek to cheek from the amazing meeting and conversations I had after. A familiar face noticed a new determination in me. I drove home over the moon, with whats to come provided I do the work.
I finally believe the promises of a life I can't imagine, as long as I honestly follow the steps, and do what the people at the meetings say.
I am nervous, I am excited, and my determination (which usually waivers once I start feeling better) has not lost any momentum and I realize this is a real chance to make it stick.
I don't know what I'm doing, but I do know I have the guidance of willing people to teach me how the reached sobriety, and gained a truly happy and fulfilling life.

Good for you Ekohe! Attending meetings means gaining wisdom which means having tools to fight the poison you are leaving behind. One day at a time and keep going back (meetings) because it works if ya work it!
Thank you everyone, I had up to this point never really gave it a chance, and a few years ago didn't think very highly of it. That has 180'd and how naive I was.
It's been a good day today. How's everyone's day??
